Many of the people who work here went to school here in Bishop’s Castle or in the neighbouring villages, so, over the years we’ve always been pleased to support our local schools with whatever practical help we can. We don’t expect anything in return but when a “thank you” comes it’s always much appreciated, never more so than when it’s from the pupils themselves.
Here’s a case in point from the pupils of Norbury and Stiperstones Church of England School (part of the Shropshire Hills Federation). We helped with some stakes for signs on the annual LongMyndBatchBurner which raises funds for the school. The beautifully written letter says it all. Hats off to Fleur and her friends!
