A jigsaw puzzle solved

We’re always keen to ensure that wagons leave our mill with full loads of finished timber even if it means loading up with orders for more than one customer. This load is more than usually efficient in that way. It ‘s going to five different drops and includes untreated cladding, timber treated to UC4 and UC3, hardwood logs, and even orders for 10 bits of wood and 3 bits of wood for customers who’d run short of those items but had other orders on.

The load is on a rigid trailer and is all for customers within 50 miles of the mill. Efficient yes because the wagon is full, but a bit of a logistical jigsaw puzzle. That said, we do like to think we’re pretty good at problem solving!
