Nine months, thousands of man hours, tons of steel, and £2.75million after start it’s now possible to see our new Timber Treatment Centre doing exactly what it is designed to do in one of the last test runs before final commissioning.
Watch carefully: as the untreated timber approaches the autoclave a treated load is ejected and sent on its way to a drying area. Each load is barcoded so the system delivers the treatment colour and dosage requested. The sequence finishes with the autoclave door closing ready for depressurisng and the treatment cycle to begin again. Fantastic!
