We’re shooting a new video to explain the processes here at the mill. It should go live in the next month or so.
In this sequence of stills we see cameraman Sam Cook of Tremio shooting footage of our new tray sorter for heavy items – just one of a number of recent investments here.
On top at right a post of the correct height and width dimensions is automatically diverted from the mill to the new line.
Posts go up the ramp in the second picture down to be sorted and grouped by size before, in the third picture, being precision cut to finished length.
At bottom we see finished posts coming off the line. Every stage is completed without the need for manual handling: a major step forward.
