Our sawmill at Bishop’s Castle seen from the Town
This picture was taken by our Operations Director Alistair Evans  during the Christmas shut down and it seemed to us as good a way as any of sending customers our best wishes for 2015.
The steam drifting from the mill is coming from our drying plant where wet wood chips are dried and made ready for sale to the many businesses in our area who are now using this fuel.
What you can’t make out in the magical half-light of the picture are the solar panels on the rooves of the mill buildings which help power this drying plant and make a huge contribution to our overall energy use throughout the site.
