The latest project in our continuing programme of investment involves creating a new line to handle and sort larger items in our product range such as gate posts and sleepers. Up to now the process has involved a degree of manual handling which we want to eliminate.
This picture shows, on the left, the first part of the new line and on the right the CNC cross cut that connects with the tray sorter to accurately cut sleepers and gate posts to length before going on to the automatic stacking system. We’re hoping the new line will be up and running by late summer, so watch this space.
