This timber is coming in to the mill today from the Isle of Man harvested by Euroforest Ltd /AW Jenkinson. In the background you can see an AW Jenkinson wagon taking a load of base peat-free compost mix to Melcourt Industries, the ownership of which is shared between AW Jenkinson and the family that own Ransfords. The peat-free compost is a co product of our saw mill operation and means that what might be seen as waste actually becomes a medium in which new trees can be seeded and grow – and that includes new trees for forestry. It’s that perfect circle again!
