Perfect: a British Larch building in the British countryside

Is there a sight more pleasing than a well made British timber building sitting in the British countryside? We don’t think so. Timber is the original building material and it fits perfectly into rural surroundings like this – so much so that within weeks it will look as though it’s always been there. It has to be said too that timber on urban buildings is just as appealing and it’s great to see more and more examples of it in use.

This is skimmed Larch supplied to Fall Timber who are based near Bedale in North Yorkshire. The building is to create storage for a local landowner but Matt Barnes of Fall Timber already has plans to use a similar cladding on their own farm offices and some outbuildings. A perfect solution – but then we would say that, wouldn’t we?
