We know it’s the Bank Holiday week-end but at the Mill we’re planning ahead for the colder weather so it’s all going on in the woodfuel area. We’re unloading Ash ready for cutting and splitting before being kiln dried. In the background of the top picture we’re chipping dry softwood to fuel the boilers which will run the kilns that dry the woodfuel. When you remember that solar panels here produce around 30% of the electricity we use, your fireside logs couldn’t be produced any more energy-efficiently!
