When a major Sheffield based contractor undertook a huge development on the site of a former steel works in Sheffield for a large UK logistics and industrial property business they looked to Heras for a fencing solution which would protect the occupants of a nearby row of terraced houses from the vehicle noise which would result from the vehicle movements. Heras turned to Ransfords acoustic fencing panels to solve the problem.
“Ransfords were recommended to us by colleagues who had worked with them before,” says Blake Brumby, Estimator with Heras based at their Doncaster HQ. “We found them to be really helpful and to be extremely knowledgeable in devising a solution to meet the needs of the situation.” In the end Noisewall® single-sided reflective panels were specified, some 5m high supplied in two sections and double stacked as shown in the picture, and some as 3m high single height panels. Access gates were fitted in two places.
“We’ve been very pleased with both the product supplied and the service given,” says Blake, “so much so that we’ll be working with Ransfords very soon on another very large project requiring a similar approach.”
