Nothing gives us greater pleasure than fine weather for landscaping and construction and lots of trailer-loads of timber products ready to leave our yard. In the background are full loads of treated and untreated boards and rails. In the foreground, one of many future loads of acoustic fencing panels which are destined to go round a major distribution centre in the north-west of England. The centre is close to domestic housing and the acoustic panels will minimise noise from the traffic loading and unloading at all hours.
Wherever possible we run with full loads of finished product rather than part loads. The same is true with loads of raw material coming in from the forest. When we can, we even load finished product onto wagons that have just unloaded logs so that they can avoid running empty. Full loads are more cost effective every time, and they dramatically reduce the environmental impact of our operation.
