It was great to see this SylvaGrow® liveried trailer picking up materials in the yard today: it’s a very large and physical representation of our determination not to waste any part of the logs we mill.
SylvaGrow® is an award-winning, RHS endorsed peat-free compost which is used by gardeners throughout the UK and is manufactured by Melcourt Industries which is part-owned by the family that own Ransfords. Key ingredients of SylvaGrow® are sawdust and composted fine bark, materials which arise from our sawmilling process. Fantastic isn’t it that these materials are then used by gardeners to grow more plants, trees, fruit and vegetables. It’s that virtuous environmental circle again!
