This picture shows Alex Evans, who has recently obtained his HGV licence, about to deliver some local orders for Ransfords. Hats off to him for the qualification, and for becoming the first of the fifth generation of the Evans family to get behind the wheel in this way. Alex follows his father, Alistair, his grandfather Alan, his great-grandfather Jack, and his great-great-grandfather Arthur.
Our vehicles are still liveried up in the same way as Arthur’s who bought his first vehicle (a Bedfiord van) in 1936 with a £50 loan from his uncle. Things have changed a lot since then, but it seems that one family’s fascination with vehicles of every kind will never change!
