Those who know Ransfords well will know that we’re always looking for ways to make the business more efficient and more effective. It’s good for our customers and so its good for us too.
An investment a few years back enabled us to start producing dry chips from what would otherwise be waste from our mill. But supplying chips for biomass heating is seasonal so we tend to stock up during summer to sell in winter. The problem is that having dried the chips we need to keep them dry until they’re needed. When completed, this new shed will enable us to keep more stock under cover and thus be much better placed to meet orders exactly when they’re needed. We’ll keep you posted on progress
