Timber harvesting in the Mendips

If ever a picture demonstrated the importance of forestry to the prosperity of rural areas it’s this one. This drone shot is from our friend Ray Powell of AW Jenkinson loading 12 foot Larch for us at East Harptree on The Mendips. The planting, management, harvesting and transport associated with forests such as these – and the subsequent processing of the timber – is a vital part of the rural economy, and has been since Adam was a lad. Keep the pictures coming Ray!
