The Wintels is a small development by The Living Village Trust on the edge of Bishop’s Castle. The Trust’s stated aim is to work with land owners, community groups, inspired individuals and enlightened developers to create great places to live rather than soulless housing estates. Environmental considerations are at the heart of all their work.
No surprise then that many of the residents use wood burners and, as the weather turns, it was to one of them who’d run out of fuel that we had to make an emergency delivery this morning. Log sales are extremely buoyant at the moment and we have plenty of stock in for the coming cold spell, but we can’t promise to respond to all enquiries as quickly as this one: logs delivered within about 15minutes of the call for help!

8am to 4:30pm – Monday to Friday.
8:30am to 12noon – Saturday. (Closed on Sunday)
